Florian Schroeck, MD
Dr. Schroeck is a urologist subspecializing in urologic cancer care, Assistant Professor of Surgery (Urology) and of The Dartmouth Institute at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, a faculty member of the VA Outcomes Group, and Section Chief of Urology at the White River Junction VA medical center in Vermont. His research focus is on evaluating and improving the quality of care for cancer patients. The overarching goal of his research is to get the right care to every cancer patient. This involves working with administrative and other large databases to understand current patterns of care as well as using qualitative research methodologies and implementation science to understand barriers and facilitators for quality care. The ultimate goal of his line of research is to make it easier for physicians, physician extenders, nurses, and other allied health workers to get the right care to every patient. He has extensive experience in claims data analysis and measurement of quality within claims data and is currently working on projects to improve care for patients with early stage bladder cancer within the VA.
