Jordan Carlson, PhD, MA
Dr. Jordan Carlson received a PhD in Public Health from UC San Diego in 2012 and an MA in Psychology from San Diego State University in 2009. He is currently Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Director of Community-Engaged Research at Children’s Mercy Hospital and the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine. Dr. Carlson’s primary research interest is scalability of physical activity interventions for population impacts, particularly through environment and policy approaches. His research encompasses schools, neighborhoods, and the transportation sector. His MT-DIRC training will focus on testing implementation strategies for scalable and sustainable active travel to school interventions.
