Lesly Dossett, MD, MPH
Dr. Lesly Dossett MD, MPH is Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Dossett earned her medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2010. During a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship, she was awarded an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) training grant and obtained a Masters in Public Health with a focus on epidemiology, patient-centered outcomes, quality and policy. After completing residency, she entered active duty with the United States Navy where she served as a Staff Surgeon in various roles stateside and overseas. After fulfillment of her active duty obligation in 2014, Dr. Dossett entered clinical fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL in 2014. She joined the faculty of the University of Michigan in 2016. Dr. Dossett’s clinical focus is on breast cancer, melanoma and sarcoma. Her academic focus is on cancer care delivery and decision-making, and the interface between primary care providers and cancer specialists.
