Sarah Neil-Stzramko, PhD

Sarah Neil-Sztramko is a postdoctoral at McMaster University. She completed her PhD in Population and Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology at the University of British Columbia in 2015. Her research interests involve i) understanding the role that physical activity and lifestyle behaviours play in the risk of developing cancer and improving health and quality of life in individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer; ii) understanding which knowledge translation strategies are effective at increasing the general publics’ and health professionals’ awareness, understanding and use of research evidence throughout the cancer continuum (from prevention to survivorship); and iii) methodology of public health intervention development and evaluation.
